To facilitate the drawing of complex structures, LiqCryst comes with some prebuilt abbreviations and fragments that can be included into the drawing.
From the 'Window' - menu you can choose between drawing abbreviations, protein fragments, DNA-fragments and liquid crystal(LC) fragments.
Below find some examples for:
LC-fragments: This is an example from a list of bridges. Other LC-fragments are: rings, linking groups right/left, terminal group right/left.
These fragments can easily be included in a drawing by drag and drop of the chosen fragments into the structure editor.
The names of the fragments as shown below their structure can be used for the 'Line-notation to Structure' - feature.
